Sisters Join List Of Winter Brides In Double Rites

In a double wedding Feb. 2, in Old St Mary’s Church, Rochester, two sisters, well-known in Webster, were united, one to a local young man and the other to a young man also well-known here.

The brides, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond G. Smith of Broadway, Rochester, were Miss Katherine Lorraine Smith and Miss Mary Louise Smith. Gowned in traditional bridal satin, they were escorted to the altar by their father. Both brides wore fingertip length veils and carried arm bouquets of white roses and camelias.

Henry W. Hyman, who became the bridegroom of Miss Katherine, is the son of Mrs. Esther Hyman of Hermance Rd. and Norman Hyman of Atlantic Ave. He had George R. Watson of Plank Rd. as best man. His ushers were Glenn Keyes of Fairport and William Smith of Rochester.

William F. Adams, who wed Miss Mary Louise, is the son of Mrs. Ed Schmidt, of Regent St., and William Adams of Meredith St., Rochester. His best man was Robert Keim of Webster. Serving as his ushers were Earl Adams and Roy Timian, both of Rochester.

The honor attendants, Miss Rita C. Smith and Miss Alma Marie Smith, sisters of the brides, wore powder blue satin with picture hats of net and bouquets of yellow snapdragons.

The bridesmaids were Miss Beverly Feguson of Hermance Rd., Miss Romaine Conroy and Mrs. Charles Bryan of Rochester. Three-year-old Mary Ellen LaVan was flower girl and Robert and Jimmy Smith, brothers of the brides, were ringbearers.

Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Badischer-Maennechor Club, Rochester.

Mr. and Mrs. Hyman are at home at 1600 Hermance Rd., and Mr. and Mrs. Adams are residing in Gregory St., Rochester.
