Evening Times; Cumberland, Maryland, Wednesday, December 14, 1955: “MT. SAVAGE — Miss Frances Barrett, 63, died early today in Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, where she was admitted yesterday following an illness of a year.  A daughter of the late James E. and Virginia (Lucky) Barrett, she was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, the Sodality the parish and a charter member of Court Theresa 557, Catholic Daughters of America.  Last employed as a bookkeeper by the Glen Savage Dairy Company, Miss Barrett had been employed 35 years in that capacity at the G. Clinton Uhl general store which is no longer in business.  Surviving are three sisters, Misses Alice and Agnes Barrett both at home, and Mrs. Arthur Walsh, Mt. Savage.  The body is at the residence on New Row.”
