Maude Virginia Carr was born at St. Margaret's, Anne Arundel County, Maryland, the only daughter of Walter A. Whittington & Irene E. Garrison. She married Virgil Henry Carr on 15 Mar 1931 at Jacobsville, Anne Arundel County, Maryland. They, along with Virgil's two brothers, operated Carr Brothers Supply Company, which was located at the corner of Defense Highway (Rte. 450) & General's Highway (Rte. 178), for many years. Maude & Virgil had one son, Virgil Henry, Jr.
