Janet L. Baker, 67, of Van Wert, died at 5:12 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2014, at Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center, Van Wert.

She was born Aug. 3, 1946, to Harold V. Baker, who died June 20, 1993, and Virginia (Girod) Baker, who survives in Van Wert.

Other survivors include nephews: Donny (Lynn) Taylor, Jody (Tammy) Taylor and Chuck (Michelle Klausing) Taylor, sister: Janice (Charlie “Steve”) Taylor of Van Wert, and great nieces and nephews: Danielle, Hannah, Tristan and Logan Taylor, Zannah Klausing.

She was a private duty nurse in Atlanta, Ga., and then moved back to the area and had worked at Lima Memorial Hospital, Van Wert County Hospital and various nursing homes in the local area.

She was a member of Trinity Friends Church, Van Wert. She graduated from Lincolnview High School and Lima Memorial Nursing Program.

Services will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert. The Rev. Steve Savage will officiate.

Visitation will be 1-4 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at the funeral home.

Preferred memorial is Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center.
