Carolyn Gene Roth, 78, of Kansas, passed away April 16, 2015 at the St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo. Carolyn was born on March 7, 1937, in Bettsville, to the late Raymond and Mary Gene (Marshall) Feterle. She married Leonard "Skip" Roth in Bettsville on June 11, 1955, and he preceded her in death. Survivors include her two sons, Rick (Marianne) Roth of Simsbury, CT, William Roth, of Riga, MI, six grandchildren, Katie, Thomas, Daniel, Cindy, Amy, Gary, three great-grandchildren, Zoey, Emma, and Ethan. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Leonard Roth and a brother, Raymond Theodore Feterle. Carolyn was a graduate of Bettsville High School, a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church, and a social member of the American Legion in Bettsville. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Monday, April 20, 2015 at the Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Bettsville with the Pastor Matthew Garrabrant and Pastor James Mussman officiating. Visitation will also be on Monday, from 9:30-11:30 a.m., at the funeral home. Burial will follow the funeral services Monday at Pleasant Union Cemetery in Old Fort. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or Shiloh United Methodist Church.
