Courtney Cook Age 60, the loving and devoted daughter of Mary Lou Cook and the late Sam Cook of Santa Fe passed away on November 3, 2010 from complications due to an injury. Courtney was known for her sense of humor, her great spunk, her love of music, singing, and for the twinkle in her eye. Courtney worked as a nurse for many years and later tended to her mother with extraordinary care. Courtney is survived by her mother, Mary Lou Cook of Santa Fe; her sister, Caren Cook of Albuquerque; her brother, Sam Cook of Taos; her daughter, Anita Thompson; and two beautiful grandsons in Au Claire, Wisconsin. Mary Lou and Sam moved to Santa Fe in 1969. Courtney followed her parents here shortly thereafter. A celebration of Courtney's life will be held at the Center for Spiritual Living on Sunday, November 7th at 3 p.m., officiated by Reverend Carol Calvert, Courtney's long-time friend. Please bring memories to share. In lieu of flowers, a tax deductible contribution can be made to the Courtney Cook Memorial Fund in care of The Center for Spiritual Living, 505 Camino de los Marquez, Santa Fe, NM 87505.
