Mr. Ronald (Ronnie) E. Massey was born March 5, 1955 to the late Elise Massey Lehman and Booker T. Massey in Madison County, Alabama. He was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Jeanette Diane Smith-Massey. He departed this life, Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. Ronnie was preceded in death by his brother, Alvin T. Massey.
Ronnie, as he was affectionately known to many accepted Christ as his personal savior at an early age and joined Springhill United Methodist Church, Madison, Alabama. He was educated in the Madison County Public School System where he was a star on the basketball team. He was a self taught musician of the guitar and keyboard. Ronnie loved his family, friends and classmates; he never missed a class reunion.
Funeral service will be 2 pm, Sunday, at Springhill U.M. Church. Interment will be in Arnett Cemetery. Royal Funeral Home, directing.
