Rev. J.C. Davis was stricken with appendicitis on last Thursday and was taken to Lincoln Memorial Hospital at Knoxville on Saturday. Rev. Davis was forty two years old and had been a minister in the Baptist Church for years. He was loved by all who knew him. His passing is considered a great loss to the community in which he lived, but his noble work will live long after his body has returned to the dust.
He leaves a wife and seven children to mourn the loss of husband and father.
