She was born April 29, 1931, in Danville, Virginia, the daughter of John Douglas and Frances Grant Ashword. She was a woman of faith and lifelong servant of the Lord.
She is survived by three daughters, Janet (Joe) O'Leary of Mansfield, Susan (Michael) Huff of Ashland and Laurie (Steve) Van Guilder of Jeromesville; a son, Gary Glover of Ashland; a stepdaughter, Barbara (Mack) McLawhorn of Chesapeake, Virginia; a stepson, Neil (Nancy) Glover of Chesapeake, Virginia; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Barbara Vederal of Bronx, New York, and Betty Gonce of Jacksonville, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harley Eugene Glover, in 2002; a son, Richard Glover; a granddaughter, Jackie Marie Glover; a great-grandson, Malachi Piatt; a brother, John Ashwood; and a sister, Jean Chandler.
A service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 18, 2015, at Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville, with Bishop Harvey Moore officiating. Burial will be in Vermillion Cemetery. Friends may call noon to 2 p.m. Saturday before the service at the funeral home.
