Age 93, of Saxonburg, formerly of Strabane, PA, died on Friday, June 15, 2007, in Saxony Health Center, Saxonburg, PA. Mr. Dampf was a member of the Canonsburg United Presbyterian Church, Canonsburg. He was a carpenter for the Fort Pitt Bridge Works for 43 years. Mr. Dampf is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret L. Lombardi Dampf, who died in July 2004. Surviving are one son, John W. (Mary Lou) Dampf, Jr. of Butler, one brother, Henry Dampf of Canonsburg, one sister, Frances Van Kirk of New Mexico, two granddaughters, Julie Ann (Phillip) Nini and Kimberly Jo (Jeffrey) Long; and two great-grandchildren, Bryce and Elizabeth Long.
