Mr. Clinton Ray "Birdseed" Bowman, age 72 of Manchester, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at his home.
He was born April 16, 1939 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of Clifton and Edna Philpot Bowman. He was a retired backhoe operator and interstate coal miner, and a member of the Pleasant Run Baptist Church.
He is survived by his children: Roy Gibson and his daughter Kelly Lyttle of Manchester, and Connie Sue Henson and her daughter Samantha Rae of Manchester, these brothers and sisters: Irene Martin of Vevay, Indiana, Virginia Hacker of Manchester, Evelyn Banks of Harrison, Indiana, Brenda Ann Brown of Manchester, Robert Bowman and his wife Joyce of Manchester, and Autho Bowman and his wife Pat of Manchester.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Clifton and Edna Bowman, his sister: Pauline Turner and his brother: Virgil Lester Bowman.
Funeral Services for Mr. Clinton Ray Bowman will be Sunday, February 19, 2012 at 2 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Sandlin Branch Cemetery in the Sidell Community.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 18, after 6 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
