Charles is the son of Michel Vincent and Anne-Marie-Doiron. He married Euphrosine Duon in 1746, in Acadie. They were part of the Acadian deportation originally sent to Virginia.

They were not allowed to disembark and were sent on to England. They were treated as prisoners of war and held in warehouses along the dock. Many died shortly after arriving in England due to exhaustion, illness, and small pox.
