Shirley J. Lewis, 83, of Rock Lake, ND passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Towner County Living Center in Cando, ND. Services will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at All Nations Lutheran Church in Rock Lake, ND. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Burial will be in All Nations Lutheran Cemetery, Rock Lake, ND. Casket bearers are Gary Hunt, Kernis Pantsari, Gary Badding, Dennis (Butch) Leas, Carlan Slaubaugh and Brady Hunt. Honorary casket bearers: Current and Past Members of the AC Club. Music will be provided by Stacy Soukup.

Memorials are preferred to All Nations Lutheran Church or All Nations Lutheran Cemetery Fund.

Shirley J. Pantsari was born on March 27, 1932 to Albert and Edna (Bykonen) Pantsari in Rock Lake, ND. Shirley grew up in Rock Lake, graduating from Rock Lake High School. She met George Lewis at a dance in Rock Lake and they fell in love. They were married September 29, 1950 in Calvin, ND. The couple lived in Calvin and eventually moved to the Rock Lake area in 1962 and have continued to make Rock Lake their home. She was very involved in the community. Shirley loved to bake, her specialty was making candy, do crafts, oil painting, fish and camp with family and friends in Rock Lake, Canada, and she loved to dance. Shirley and George spend 15 winters in Edinburg, TX. She loved to entertain family and friends at her home. Her last wishes were to have George take her for a ride in the couple’s new car and also celebrate her birthday this past March with her family and friends.

Shirley is survived by her husband George, children Cheryl Lewis of Rock Lake, ND; Marilyn (Carl) Thoreson of Vero Beach Florida; Laurel (Keith) Vorachek of Sun City, AZ; Evonne Langerud of Kent, WA and David Lewis of Ash Grove, MO; grandchildren Aaron Thompson of Menomonee Falls, WI; Amber Thompson of Madison, WI; Lindsey (Josh) Evans of Anchorage AK; Kasey (Kurtis) Mitchell of Pacific, WA; David Lewis of Springfield, MI; Cody Lewis with the US Army stationed in Hawaii and Kelly (Ian) McCoy of Bellevue, WA; and great grandchildren Nolan, Elliot and Allie Thompson; Aria McCoy; and Kendal Evans; brother Harold (Phyllis) Pantsari of Rock Lake, ND and sisters Anna Hunt of Rock Lake, ND; Edith Dunham of Rugby, ND; Ellen Mae (Larry) Slaubaugh of Wolford, ND; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Edna Pantsari; sister Hazel Eckholm and a baby sister Agnes.
