AUMSVILLE - Gean, 75, passed away at home, September 21, with her husband of 58 years, Don, daughter, Candace, and grandchildren Devon and Haylee at her side. She was born March 8, 1939 to Marion and Versie Stout, in Wagoner, OK. Gean was the fourth of seven children. She married Donald Nelson on August 4, 1956. Gean moved to Aumsville in 1973, along with her family.

She worked at Willamette University, the City of Aumsville, and Harmon Drushella Real Estate in Stayton. Gean then established a business of her own, as a Real Estate Appraiser, from her home in Aumsville, for 25 years, along with her husband, Don. She was forced to retire in March of 2014.

Gean lived life to the fullest, by working hard and playing hard. She was an inspiration to those who knew and loved her. Gean will be deeply and truly missed.

She is survived by her husband: Don; daughter: Candace and her fiancé, Charlie; grandchildren: Devon, Haylee, Ashley; three great-grandchildren; nephew: Roger; and sisters: Jesse, Denise(Jack), Christina (Lonnie). Gean was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Wanda, brothers, Raymond and Dell. Private family services were held.

Donations in Gean's name may be made to Willamette Valley Hospice. Serving the family, North Santiam Funeral Service, Stayton.
