Leland Russell Aiken, 83, of Elk City, died Sunday at 7:20 p.m. at Mercy Hospital in Independence.
Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Elk City, with the Rev. Terry Marta officiating. Friends may call at the Webb & Rodrick Funeral Home from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. Tuesday and from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. Wednesday.
Mr. Aiken was born June 5, 1905, in rural Elk City, to Homer and Ida (Sircoulomb) Aiken. He attended Hard Rock Elementary School, Havana High School and Wichita Business College.
On Feb. 19, 1937, at Sedan, he married Audrey Frances Fowler. She died in 1986.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Ann Hogan, Elk City; a sister, Mrs. Bobby Nelsen, San Diego, Calif.; a brother, Verlin Aiken, Temple, Texas; and two grandchildren.
A grandson, a brother and sister are deceased.
