Algood — Funeral services for Calvin Earl Lee Cooper, 85, of Cookeville, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 18, at Trinity Church in Algood. Interment with military honors will be in Algood Cemetery.

Family will receive friends at the Cookeville chapel of Hooper-Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. Friday, April 17, and at the church Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of services.

Mr. Cooper died Thursday, April 16, 2015, at his home.

He was born Feb. 15, 1930, in Jackson County to the late Everett and Beulah Irene Roberts Cooper.

Mr. Cooper was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving from 1952-1954, and being discharged as a corporal. He was a member of the American Legion. Mr. Cooper was a retired roofer and member of Trinity Assembly in Algood.

His family includes his wife, Jean Nelson Hunter Cooper of Cookeville; a daughter, Sheree Nickelson of Dallas, Texas; two sons and a daughter-in-law, David and Caroline Hunter of Cookeville and Bobby Hunter of Dodson Branch; a sister, Georgia Hinton of Dayton, Ohio; a brother and sister-in-law, Billy Moore Cooper and Pat Cooper of Maryville; 10 grandchildren, Michael Nickelson, Holly (Jessie) Warden, Adam (Jamie) Hunter, Logan Hunter, Lucas Hunter, Anthony (Jennifer) Hunter, Jordan Roberts, Alaina Hunter, Matthew Hunter and Jeremy Roberts; and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Cooper was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Meadows; and two brothers, U.L. Cooper and Carlin Cooper.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Assembly Media Ministries, 205 W. Wall St., Algood, TN 38506.

Pastor Jim Moore will officiate the services.
