Mrs. Mary Krause, 79, of 925 South 31st St., Manitowoc,died Monday morning at the Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, following a two weeks illness.
Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 9 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Clement Kern will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
She was born Mary Kolanchek in 1875 at Pine Grove, Brown County, and in 1894 was married to Joseph Krause. They located in Reedsville and in 1924 moved to Manitowoc. Her husband died in 1946.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. John Sieracke of Newton, Mrs. Anton O’Leske of Sussex, Wis., Mrs. Allworth Holub, and Miss Caroline Krause, both of Manitowoc; two sons, Edward of Reedsville, Stanley of Nevada; three brothers, Joseph of Two Rivers, William of DePere, John of Milwaukee; two sisters, Mrs. Frank Maternoski of DePere, Mrs. Stanley Salkowski of New Jersey; 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Tuesday where the Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
