Willie Pearl Washington, age 72, passed away January 31, 2001 at Washington Terrace Nursing Home. She was born July 19, 1928 in Texarkana, Texas to Will and Stella Criner. She married Homer Washington on September, 20, 1943. She received her early education in Texarkana Texas Schools and was a homemaker.

Surviving are her husband, Homer, of Ogden; children, Elizabeth Ann (Donald) Carpenter of Ogden; Billy Eric Washington of Ogden; Linda J. (Stanford) Jordan, Los Angeles; Sylvia J. (Frank) Moore, Los Angeles; Regina P. (Jimmy) Harrison, Beaumont, Texas; seven grandchildren; and nine great grand-children. She is also survived by two sisters and one brother, Dorothy A. (Billy) Roberts, Hacienda Heights, California; Dorothy N. Hugney, Los Angeles; and Albert Criner, Portland, Oregon.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Mike Criner, James Criner, Richard Criner; and two sisters, Clotiel Holmes and Donnie Larry.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2001 at 11 a.m. at the Myers Mortuary Chapel in Ogden, 845 Washington Blvd., where friends may call on Saturday from 9:45 - 10:45 a.m.

Interment: Evergreen Memorial Park, 100 Monroe Blvd. Ogden, Utah

The family would like to give special thanks to Hospice of Northern Utah, Washington Terrace Nursing Home staff, Members/Pastor of New Zion Baptist Church, Members/Pastor of the Emmanuel Church of God in Christ, and especially to Willie's oldest grand-daughter, Tamara Lynn CarpenterGreen.
