Matthew H. Snyder, 25, of rural Howard passed away Monday, August 6, 2012 in Benner Twp., Centre Co. He was born in College Twp., February 22, 1987 the son of Barry Snyder of Julian and Lydia Overdurf of Bellefonte. On June 4, 2011 he married the former Whitney E. Brown (Snyder) who survives at home. Matthew was employd by Penn State University in the maintenance department and also was employed at State College Ford. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in State College. He was Union Steward for Teamster for Local 8,; a member of the Mosquito Creek Sportsman Club. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed working on his truck, but most of all he loved spending time with his daughter. He is survived by one daughter, Ella R. Snyder at home; one sister; Renae Synder of Bellefonte; two brothers; Nathan A. Snyder and Zachary Spearly both of Bellefonte. Matthew is also survived by his paternal grandfather; Walter H. Snyder of Bellefonte and his maternal grandmother; Frances S. Overdurf of State College. Services will be held at the Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home, 201 Spring St., Milesburg on Friday, August 10, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. with Speaker; Stephanie Dry. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday, August 10, 2012 from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. Burial will be in Meyer Cemetery, Benner Twp., Centre Co., Pa. A memorial fund is being set up with the Penn State Federal Credit Union, 123 Amberleigh Lane, Bellefonte, Pa. 16823 for his daughter, Ella. Arrangements are under the direction of the Dean K.
