Dorothy Russell Meador

TEXAS CITY — Dorothy Russell Meador, 91, died in Texas City, Texas on Thursday, February 17, 2005. She was born in Whitney, Texas on August 1, 1913, and had lived in Texas City for more than fifty years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lamon R. Meador, in 1991. She was a housewife of the Methodist faith.

Dorothy is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Harlan Brown of Texas City; one son, Richard Meador of Leona, Texas; two grandsons and wife, Scott and Kim Foster of Cherryville, Pennsylvnia; and Kevin and Michelle Foster of Friendswood, Texas; great-granddaughters, Chelsea Foster and Kristen Foster. She is also survived by one sister, Bernice Reavis, of Thorndale, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Saturday, February 19, 2005, from 11 a.m. to 12 noon with services at 12 noon at Crowder Funeral Home in Dickinson. Graveside services will follow at 1:30 p.m.at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster, Texas.
