Marjorie "Midge" Tiefenthal, 91 of Pella and formerly of New Sharon and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, passed away Tuesday evening, April 14, 2015 at The Cottages of Pella.

Marjorie Jean Tiefenthal, the daughter of Irl Dale and Anna Marie(Talvensaari)Ball, was born on November 16, 1923 in Battle Creek, Michigan. She was married to Douglas Bloomfield from Allegan, Michigan in 1942. After his death in the service, Midge was united in marriage to Dexter Tiefenthal on May 31, 1945. Together they raised three daughters, Christine Ann, Dale Marie and DeeAnna Jean. She was an Air Force wife for the next 20 years of her life, moving from place to place as her husband was stationed.

Marjorie was a homemaker, advocate for the mentally retarded, and active member in the Laurium Methodist Church in Laurium, Michigan, while she was living in the Upper Peninsula.

Her passions were her husband, children, family, friends, gardening, and begin at the "camp" on Lake Superior.

She is survived by her daughter, Dale Marie of New Sharon, granddaughters, Jenny(Travis)Gay of rural New Sharon, Stacie(Brent)McKenna of Lake Ponderosa, and Michelle Galla(Kylie and Kodie)of St. Joseph, Michigan. Other family members include, cousin Melvin Morehouse and nephews David(Jan)Bellingham, Rick(Bobbitt)Bellingham, and Dan(Susan)Bellingham.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands and daughters Christine Anne and DeeAnna Jean.

Memorial services will begin at 11 am Saturday, April 18, 2015 at the Holland-Coble Funeral Home in New Sharon with Chris Sampson officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. A later memorial service will be held at the camp she loved. Memorial contributions may be made to the Special Olympics.
