Memorial service for Katherine Coleman, 75, of Capitan will be Saturday, June 8, at 11:00 AM in the Canaan Trail Baptist Church at Angus.

Mrs. Coleman passed away Monday, June 3, 2013 in Las Cruces. She was born February 21, 1938 at Arch, NM and moved to Lincoln County in 1967 from Portales, NM. She attended Canaan Trail Baptist Church, she was a homemaker and full time Mom. She married Art Coleman on June 1, 1956 at Arch, NM and he preceded her in death on August 18, 2003.

She is survived by her children, Andy Coleman of Hondo, Julia Hobbs of Las Cruces and Shotgun Coleman of Carlsbad; a brother, Scott W. Davis of Clear Lake, TX; 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; she was preceded in death by a daughter, Irene Marr and 2 grandchildren.

The family has requested memorials to National Breast Cancer Foundation, 2600 Network Blvd., Suite 300, Frisco, TX 75034 or to Canaan Trail Baptist Church.
