Janice E. Taylor, 66, of Van Wert, died at 2:32 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, OH.

She was born April 13, 1949, in Van Wert County, the daughter of Harold V. Baker, who died June 20, 1993, and Virginia (Girod) Baker, who survives in Van Wert. She married Charles "Steve" Taylor, who survives in Van Wert.

Other survivors include three children, Donny (Lynn) Taylor, Jody (Tami) Taylor, and Chuck (Michelle) Taylor, all of Van Wert; and six grandchildren, Danielle, Hannah, Tristan, Logan, Zannah, and Charlee.

A sister, Janet L. Baker, also preceded her in death.

Mrs. Taylor retired from Federal-Mogul Corporation in Van Wert after 25 years of service. She had also worked for United Telephone Company in Van Wert for 11 years. She attended First Baptist Church in Van Wert.

Janet loved to bake and decorate for the holidays. She was a graduate of Lincolnview High School.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 18, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. Gus Christo-Baker officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.

Calling hours are from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 17, at the funeral home.
