1938 - 2015 Fred Phelps, 77, of Middlesboro passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at the Middlesboro ARH.
He was a member of Hensley Chapel Baptist Church and loved spending time outdoors with his grandson, especially four wheeling and fishing.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Irene Williams Phelps and brother, Charles Phelps.
He is survived by the following members of his family:
Wife of 57 years, Blanche Phelps of Middlesboro, KY.
2 Children: Randy (Star) Phelps of Middlesboro, KY and Jan Phelps of Middlesboro, KY.
Special Grandson and Best Buddy: Ryan Phelps of Middlesboro, KY.
3 Sisters: Florence Ellis of Pennington Gap, VA, Lorene Moyers of Pineville, KY and Ann (Clyde) Raines of Detroit, MI.
Special Friend: Steve Fox of Middlesboro, KY.
And a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00a.m. Friday, April 17 at the Creech Funeral Home with Rev. Murphy Buell.
Interment will follow at Green Hills Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Steve Fox, Gerald Branham, Tommy Ellis, Robert Baker, Bill Norton Jr. and Paul Sowders.
