LaRay F. "Pete" Leonhardt, 73, of Sylvania Township and Bradenton, FL, passed away Friday, September 1, 2006, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church, where she was active on many committees, while her children were in school. Pete also served as president of the Altar Rosary Society. She was a nurse for many years at area nursing homes, including Mariner Health Care, for 15 years. Pete enjoyed quilting, sewing, crafts, and bingo.

Survivors include her loving husband of 48 years, Donald Leonhardt; her loving children, Evamarie Leonhardt, Suzanne (Jim) Walterschied, Karen (Mark) Russell, and Michael Leonhardt; 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Alice Volpe and Rose Leonhardt and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to visit from 2-9 p.m. Monday in the Ansberg-West Funeral Home, 3000 Sylvania Avenue, (between Douglas and Secor Roads), where the Rosary will be recited at 4 p.m. Prayers will begin at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, from the funeral home, followed by the Mass of the Resurrection at 11 a.m. in St. Catherine Church. Father Gary Walters will officiate. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 River Road, Perrysburg, OH 43551.
