A Celebration of Life and Memories will be held at the Clam Shell Lodge on Saturday, June 11 at 7 p.m.
Guy was born March 19, 1959. In the late 1980s, Guy moved to Alaska where he continued his career in the oil field. He fell in love with, and made his home in, Clam Gulch.
He fulfilled his dream of owning his own business when, along with his wife, Patty, he purchased the Clam Shell Lodge, which is still open and moving forward.
Guy's passions were catching, smoking and canning fish, cooking, guns, his Harley, his family and the community of Clam Gulch. He was well known for his chili, halibut chardonnay, halibut tacos, canned smoked salmon, a heart as big as he was, and, let us not forget, his remarkable talent of bull#@#.
"Our brother and friend may be gone in body, but his heart, spirit, love and dream will continue in our hearts and memories," his family wrote.
Guy was preceded in death by his father, Carl Baker.
Guy is survived by his wife, Patty Baker, of Clam Gulch; daughter, Kristina; son, Ryan; grandchildren Timothy and Lillianna; daughter Kelly Shilling of Ninilchik; former wife Shari Christianson; sons, Timothy, Tyler, and Alex; grandchildren, David, James, and Sean; mother, Sheridan Baker; sister, Shawna and her husband, Brian Amme; sister, Aaron Baker; Lisa and Gene Hermansen, and Kyle and Cody; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews too numerous to list; Crystal, Jessica, Kala, Cori, Jerimia, Robert, and Nando and Deb; and a vast extended Alaska Family.
