Frederick Thomas "Buster" Gray, age 68 passed away after a courageous battle with cancer at Pleasant View Nursing Home in Monroe, WI on April 11, 2015. He was born on August 31, 1946 in Tacoma, WA to Frederick Carrol and Wauneta Pearl "Adams" Gray. Buster was enlisted in the US Army from 1965-1967 during the Vietnam Nam conflict where he earned a Purple Heart. Buster worked as a mechanic for many years and took great pride in helping others with any type of vehicle problem. Buster also had a gift of building cars and entering them in car shows; many will remember his 1970 Chevelle and his 1923 T-Bucket (Nasty T).

Over the years he became interested in boating and enjoyed spending time on the lake with family and friends. Buster also had a passion for animals and would visit and donate to the Dane County Humane Society on a regular basis.

Buster is survived by his daughter; Shanon (Marty) Gransee of Albany, WI, two grandchildren; Autumn and Hunter and a great granddaughter Hailey all of Albany, WI,a sister; Cheryl Gray of Madison, WI, a brother Randy Gray of Des Moines, IA.

Buster was preceded in death by his parents; Frederick Carrol Gray and Wauneta Pearl Peck/Gray, a sister; Tami Nadine (Phoenix) Gray, his grandparents; Curtis Joseph (Pepper) Adams, Marie Kathryn "Richards" Adams, William David Gray and Zelda Mable "Normington" Gray.

A memorial with full military rights will be held at the Lakeside VFW #1318 in Madison, WI on May 9, 2015
