Germaine T. Schnell, 83, formerly of Howards Grove, died Monday morning, May 27, 2013 at Pine Haven Christian Home, Sheboygan Falls where she resided the past 1 1/2 years. She was the former Germaine Felten, born August 11, 1929 in Sheboygan, daughter of the late Peter & Adela (Stein) Felten. Germaine was a 1947 graduate of Central High School, Sheboygan. She worked at St. Nicholas Hospital for 7 years. On May 17, 1952 she married Clarence Schnell at Holy Name Catholic Church in Sheboygan. Germaine was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, School Hill and the Christian Women. She enjoyed gardening, dancing, playing cards, crocheting, embroidering, as well as cooking and baking. Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Clarence, a resident of Pine Haven Christian Home, two children; Michael (Debbie) Schnell, Appleton, Karen (William) Kraemer, Elkhart Lake, five grandchildren; Becky Schnell, Appleton, Dan Schnell, Peoria, IL., Melissa (Tim) Badtke, Appleton, Stacy Kraemer, Combined Locks and Angela (Jon) Fenrick, Verona. She is further survived by three great grandchildren, Bryan & Aaron Badtke, Tucker Fenrick, one brother & two sisters; Joan (Josef) Mayer, Sheboygan, Edward (Cathy) Felten, Middleton, Carol (Russ) Kuck, Ft. Collins, CO, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Francis Felten. The funeral Mass for Germaine will be celebrated at 11:00 am, Friday, May 31, 2013 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, School Hill with Rev. Patrick Nelson officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery. Family and friends may call at the church on Friday from 9:30 am until the time of service. A memorial fund has been established in her name.
