Temperance Laura Hamblen, 92, of Walnut Grove community, died Wednesday, January 5, 1949, at the home of a son, Milton Hamblen, of Fayetteville.

Born April 5, 1858, she was a member of pioneer families who homesteaded at Walnut Grove before Arkansas became a state.

She was the widow of Jack Hamblen, who died in 1917.
