Born in Pittsfield on November 30, 1948 to Perry Carpenter Brown and Christine Tucker Brown, Marilyn grew up with her siblings: William, Wayne and Ruth.

Beginning in her childhood years, Marilyn was very active in the Baptist Church where her family worshipped, attending church school, youth activities, and in1957 she played an Angel. In 1965 she was the Junior Leader of the Berkshire Association of American Baptist Women.

Following graduation in June 1966 from Pittsfield High School, Marilyn attended Berkshire Business School, graduating in 1967, and immediately started her work career at Berkshire Mill Supply Company.

At the time of her death, she was a Medical Receptionist at Berkshire Physical Therapy in Pittsfield, Massachusetts.

She loved to travel with her husband of twenty-seven years, Paul Reeves. Marilyn also enjoyed tripos to the casino with her sister and crocheting.

To all who knew Marilyn, she will be remembered as an all-around great woman and a masterful crocheter; and to her family, she will be remembered as the one who was and still is the mom who "kept everyone together".

She predeceased her former husband and the father of her children, Robert Renaud; and her husband of twenty-seven (27) years, Paul J. Reeves who passed away in 2020.

Marilyn also predeceased her son, Jeffrey; her daughters Karen and Amy; her two step-daughters, Darlene and Michelle; eight grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

The original obituary was published in the Berkshire Eagle on April 15, 2015.
