She was born April 28, 1937, in Reed City, Mich., the daughter of Charles and Flossie (Jones) Cousineau.
Shirley is survived by three sons, James (Kim) Hardin of Gowen, Mich., Thomas (special friend Jackie Gable) Hardin of Gowen, Mich., and John Hardin of Columbus, Ohio; two sisters, Marilyn (Bert) Reed of Greeley and twin Shelva Davis of Greenville, Mich.; a brother, Russell (Jean) Cousineau of Big Rapids, Mich.; four grandchildren, Jamie, Travis, Kasie and Jacob Hardin; one great-grandchild, Addy; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Shirley and Shelva completed their last two years of high school in Platteville and made many friends.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Paul Hardin.
She worked at Fisher Body in Grand Rapids, Mich., retiring with more than 30 years of service. She was a very loving person who will be missed by family and friends.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 15, 2010, at the Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids, Mich.
