TARA ALANE BALL, born January 26, 1977 in Houston, Texas to the parents of Larry Jay and Sheila Janice Ball, went to be with Jesus in Heaven as her earthly family was by her side on April 13, 2015. She is survived by her parents Larry and Sheila Ball, sister Tiffany and husband Rex Richards, nephew Nathan and niece Evelyn along with numerous family and friends that loved her so.
Tara was a graduate of Faith Christian Academy. She was an employee of Luby’s for over 16 years – a job she truly loved and her customers equally loved her – many routinely visited Luby’s just to see Tara and to be blessed by her smiling face and sweet spirit. She was also an active and loved member of the Special Friends Group at Sagemont Church and Mary Queen Catholic Church of Friendswood as well as Forgotten Angels of Pearland.
Tara enjoyed many arts and crafts, but she especially enjoyed latch hook and ceramics. Her ceramics were award winning at multiple ceramic shows around the city. And many of us have had the great pleasure of being the recipient of her latch hook and ceramic work which we consider some of our most cherished and treasured earthly possessions. One of Tara’s favorite things to do was to enjoy a special meal with family and friends. Tara loved food and was often very daring with the entrees she would choose. Tara loved people and she especially loved baking muffins for them if they were sick or hurting. This act became known as “Tara’s Muffin Ministry” and it has touched many lives over the years.
Tara had a beautiful and special heart for the Lord, her family, her church, her friends, and everyone – the countless individuals with whom she shared her life.
Our precious angel Tara, too good for this earth, God has called you home, we know you are much better off in Heaven, but then we loved you so, it is hard so hard to let you go. “His loved ones are very precious to Him and He does not lightly let them die.” (Ps. 116:15)
In lieu of usual remembrances, memorial contributions in Tara’s name may be made to Forgotten Angels at forgottenangels.org or to Special Friends at maryqueencatholicchurch.org. Visitation will be held Thursday evening, April 16, 2015, from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Niday Funeral Home – Beamer Chapel. The service celebrating Tara’s life will be held at 10:00am Friday, April 17, 2015, at Sagemont Church in the HRA where Bro. John Morgan will officiate. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Houston.
