Juanita Haulcy, 68, of Clarksdale, died of heart failure on Monday, August 9, 1999, at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis.

Services were at 12 noon on Monday, August 16, 1999, at Haven United Methodist Church with the Elder Vilirie Fifer officiating. Interment was at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.

Mrs. Haulcy, a day care operator, was born on May 18, 1931, in Marks. She was a member of Zeta Phi Beta, Mississippi Early Childhood Association, and Ora L. Mangram Literacy and Arts Federated Club.

Survivors include three sons, Phillip Haulcy and Kenneth Haulcy, both of Clarksdale, and Russell Deandre Haulcy of Houston, TX; three daughters, Janice Ward and Regina Haulcy, both of Clarksdale, Alicia Haulcy of Ridgeland; ten brothers, Lamar Kearney of Eaglewood, CA, Hunter Benson of Los Angeles, Warner Benson of Clarksdale, Larry Benson of Houston, TX, Terrell Benson of Marks, Toney Benson of Lambert, Carl Benson, Charles Benson, William Benson and Rickey Benson, all of Memphis; nine sisters, Mary A. Lovely of Chicago, Cal Henderson and Cassandra Benson, both of Clarksdale, Sarah B. Pride of Batesville, Linda B. Peggs and Birtell Benson, both of Memphis, Velma Wilson of Jackson, Karen Benson and Shauna Benson, both of Marks and seven grandchildren.
