Lee Roy Franklin, Sr., 78, of Cameron, died Thursday, April 9, 2015, at his home. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, April 12, 2015, at the funeral home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Monday, April 13, 2015, at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Lee Roy was born in Falls County, Texas, to the late Auttis B. and Marie (Laws) Franklin. He married Faye Edmondson on August 22, 1957. Lee was a U. S. Army veteran having served during the Korean War. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post #2010 of Cameron, the American Legion Post #9 and the Optimist Club in Killeen. Lee was a retired TV and radio chief engineer.
Survivors include his wife, Fay, of Cameron; and son, Lee Roy Franklin, Jr., of Cameron; other relatives and many friends.
