Retired Staff Sergeant U.S. Air Force, Benjamin F. Day, 76, passed away on April 12, 2015. A funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, April 16, 2015, at Goetz Funeral home, Seguin, Texas, with interment and committal with military honors following in Smith Cemetery in Kendall County. During Ben's service, the Base flag at Fort Hood will be flown at half mast in Ben's honor.

Ben was a veteran of the Vietnam War and served with distinction throughout his military career.

He was preceded in death by an infant son, Cody Lee Day; his parents, William Winfred and Gertrude Pagett Day; brothers, William Fred and Wendel Everett; and sister, Jessie Faye.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Barbara Day; sons: Brian, Laird, Franklin, Lawrence, Wendel, and Bruce Day; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Charles Alcus Day, of De Funiak Springs, Florida; other relatives and many friends. K18
