Michael J. Knott, 63, of Utica, passed away unexpectedly at his home on April 11, 2015. Michael was born in Utica, NY, on June 9, 1951, the son of Earl and Shirley (Nichols) Knott. He was raised and educated in the Utica School System. Michael had been employed with McCraith Beverage Co. until his retirement. He was formerly employed with the Great American Food Co. Michael was a member of St. Joseph & St. Patrick Church, Utica, and a former member of the Knights of St. Johns, Utica. He was an avid fan of all sports. Michael will be remembered by family and friends for all of his generosity and his caring nature. He is survived by two sisters and a brother; niece and nephews; a great-nephew; and also two aunts. Michael will be missed by "furever" friends, Toby and Penney. He was predeceased by his parents, Earl and Shirley... His Rite of Burial and Committal will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Whitestown...
