Lake Charles, LA- Mr. Leland Joseph Jackson, age 67, of Lake Charles, Louisiana, passed away Monday, April 6, 2015 at his residence.
Mr. Jackson was born December 25, 1947 in Johnson County, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents, the late William Carl Jackson and Willie Mae Ivey Jackson and a sister, Joyce Jackson Bray Sullivan. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Vietnam Conflict during which time he received the Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.
He is survived by a son, Trampas Jackson, his sisters, Janice (Johnny Fay) McAfee of Wrightsville and Joan Hall of Midville and his brothers, Loy (Jusy) Jackson of Nashville, TN, Frank (Kyle) Jackson of Warner Robins and Ovid (Betty) Jackson of Wrightsville.
The family will receive friends April 18, 2015 at 6:00 P.M. at the home of Janice and Johnny Fay McAfee, 95 Bill Oliver Road, Wrightsville, Georgia 31096.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society , P.O. Box 4406, Macon, Georgia 31208 or to the charity of your choice .
