ANTHONY J. "JERRY" BLACK age 63,
of Middletown, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2015, surrounded by his family.
Jerry was an employee of General Electric in Philadelphia for forty years and was affectionately known as "The King".
He was a semi-pro football player with Venango Bears and Bridesburg Eagles, where he played quarterback for many years.
He was a generous, kind man who was dedicated to his family. He will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Arleen; his 4 children Anthony, Daniel (Mandi), Caitlin, and Christine;
5 grandchildren, Noelle, Daniel, Anthony, Ryan and Joseph;
his brother, Robert (Helene) and sister, Sara Jane Wilson (Joseph).
Mass of Christian Burial at 12 Noon on Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church,
371 E. Main Street, Middletown DE 19709.
Interment will be at Old Bohemia Cemetery, Warwick MD.
