Guided by the teachings of St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, for corporal works of mercy, and a desire to honor unclaimed neighbors, an ecumenical service was held July 9, 2014 at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Cemetery (Brownstown Township, MI) to bury 164 deceased who were unclaimed for years at the Wayne County Medical Examiner’s Office.
