June M. Barnes passed away peacefully on April 3, 2015. Born in Omaha, NE on September 25, 1926, the daughter of Roy C. and Jenny Stroud. She was raised in Omaha, NE, graduated from Benson High School, and married Edwin H. Barnes, MD in 1950. Prior to moving to Kenosha in 1957, June Barnes worked for several years at Mutual of Omaha insurance as a Secretary and Executive Assistant. Upon graduation from Creighton University, Dr. Edwin H. Barnes and June Barnes moved to Kenosha, WI in 1957, raising 3 children in the process.
June Barnes is survived by her 3 children: son, Douglas Barnes of Madison, WI; daughter, Diane Hall and son-in-law Peter Hall of Minneapolis, MN; son, Gary Barnes of Oregon, WI, along with wife Ladera Barnes; and 2 sons, Evan and Derek Puls; her 3 grandsons, Ian Barnes, Colin Hall, and Renner Hall; and her nephew, Jim Beanland, and his wife Susan Beanland.
June Barnes was preceded in death by her parents, Roy C. and Jenny Stroud, her sister, Myra Beanland, and brother, Roy Stroud, Jr.
FUNERAL Saturday. April 18, at 1pm with VISITATION one hour prior to service all at the Funeral Home. Interment Westlawn-Hillcrest.
