Betty Jo Gipson, 64, of Richmond, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2015, at the Compassionate Care Center.
She was born January 26, 1951, in Madison Co. to the late Calvin and Eliza Hurt Hayes. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Survivors include: her children, Melissa Gipson, Lonie Kevin Gipson (Crystal), Katrina Baker (Ronnie), Lonnie Dale Gipson, Donna Kay Gipson and Mike Gipson; two sisters, Callie Hayes and Gracie Harrison; a half-sister, Flossie Agee; her grandchildren, Natasha Gipson, Tonita Rose, LaDonna Smith, Jeremy Burdine, Denise Burdine, Josh Gipson and Seth Gipson; her great-grandchildren, Narae Gipson, Kaidyn Compton, Kameelah Cometon, Skyller Layne, Aubree Layne; as well as other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her brother, William Earl Hayes, and a half-brother, Robert Tudor.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, April 16, 2015, at Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Bro. David Carpenter officiating. Burial will follow in the Manse Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon Thursday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Agee, Ronnie Baker, John Dishon, Mike Gipson, Lonnie Dale Gipson and Keith Gipson.
