Robert M. "Box Car Bob" Smith, 77, peacefully joined the Lord on Feb. 24, 2004. Survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Josephine "Jo" Smith; sons, Richard (Sue) Bromeling, Carl (Donna) Smith; daughters, Patty Minkler (Vernon Schiffer), Tina Meyer; grandchildren, Jody, Stacey, Hope, Heather, Jason, Joey and Jon; great-grandchildren, Michelle and Timothy; sisters, Judy (Bill) Binger, Barbara (Richard) Holmes; sisters-in-law, Marlene Smith, Dean Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews. Robert was a member of the T.C.A., and T.T.O.S. Train Clubs. He also owned and operated the Quick Shoe and Quick Train Sales. Viewing, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, at Imperial Funeral Home. Funeral Mass, 11 a.m. Saturday, St. Mary Church. Entombment, Imperial Memorial Gardens with military honors by the Pueblo Veterans Ritual Team.
