Robert M. "Box Car Bob" Smith, 77, peacefully joined the Lord on Feb. 24, 2004. Survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Josephine "Jo" Smith; sons, Richard (Sue) Bromeling, Carl (Donna) Smith; daughters, Patty Minkler (Vernon Schiffer), Tina Meyer; grandchildren, Jody, Stacey, Hope, Heather, Jason, Joey and Jon; great-grandchildren, Michelle and Timothy; sisters, Judy (Bill) Binger, Barbara (Richard) Holmes; sisters-in-law, Marlene Smith, Dean Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews. Robert was a member of the T.C.A., and T.T.O.S. Train Clubs. He also owned and operated the Quick Shoe and Quick Train Sales. Viewing, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, at Imperial Funeral Home. Funeral Mass, 11 a.m. Saturday, St. Mary Church. Entombment, Imperial Memorial Gardens with military honors by the Pueblo Veterans Ritual Team. The family respectfully requests the omission of food and flowers.
