AGED RESIDENT DIES
Mrs. A. H. Whipple Succumbs – Burial Made in Missouri
Mrs. A. H. Whipple, 90, died Friday, Jan. 29, at the home of her son, A. C. Whipple.
The funeral services were held Sunday, Jan. 31 at the Presbyterian church in Sharpsburg, conducted by Rev. Mr. Mathes of Craig, Mo.
Her grandsons acted as pall bearers, burial being made in the Allen cemetery near Eagleville, Mo. Monday, Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Whipple and daughter, Mrs. Ralph Harmon, Rev. Mathes, C. M. Whipple and grandson, Cleo Boltinghouse, accompanied the body there.

OBITUARY
Adrienne Hill, daughter of John and Rachel Hill, was born August 1, 1846 near Columbus, Ohio, and passed away Friday Jan. 29, 1937 at Sharpsburg, Iowa, at the age of 90 years, 5 months and 26 days.
She was united in marriage to Orville Whipple March 5, 1866. To this union were born eleven children, four dying in infancy. Three other sons also preceded her in death, Glen Norris Whipple on April 29, 1923, Ben Evan Whipple on Sept. 11, 1928 and Rolland Ashton Whipple on May 29, 1934. The husband died March 25, 1890.
She leaves to mourn her passing three sons and one daughter; Clyde M. Whipple and A. C. Whipple of Sharpsburg, Harry L. Whipple of Long Beach, Calif., and Lois Gertrude Swain of Garden Grove. Also twenty-two grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren; three half-sisters and one half-brother all residing in Ohio.
She united with the Mount Gillead Christian church in Missouri. Later she transferred her membership to the Second Presbyterian church in Long Beach, Calif. She was faithful to her church when health would permit. She was a loving mother and a good neighbor and she will be missed greatly by her loved ones and friends.

The iWhipple.org website shows that Harry Lawrence Whipple died 28 Nov 1963, Long Beach, Los Angeles, California. No FAG memorial currently exists for him or for his wife, Celestia "Lesta" MacFarland whom he married in 1906. She was born 11 Sep 1884 Garfield, Montgomery, Iowa and died 2 Jan 1972 Long Beach, Los Angeles, California and is buried in Sunnyside Mausoleum, Long Beach, Los Angeles, California.

Obit states she had 11 children, 12 are listed by name and Olive isn't included in the list. She would make 13. Her birth record states she is child number 12. If anyone can help clear this up please send edits. Thanks so much!!
