Clifford Earl Warren passed away peacefully at Riverwest Assisted Living in Wenatchee, WA on Thursday, April 2, 2015. He was 92 years old. Clifford was born and raised in Benton City, WA. He was the middle child with older and younger brothers. He was raised on a farm with mostly small livestock. He would sometimes help his mother kill a chicken for dinner. As a youngster, he worked in the agricultural fields around Benton City for five cents a day to help with living expenses. Clifford enlisted in the Army Air Corps in October 1940, and remained until honorably discharged in October 1945, most of the time stationed in Dutch Harbor, AK. He married Vivian Lorraine Maupin on April 11, 1945. They were happily married 58 years, until she passed away on January 19, 2004. After his discharge, they moved to Richland, WA, where Clifford worked for General Electric at the Hanford Reservation for over 20 years. He was one of 10,000 employees caught in a layoff when Hanford began to downsize. Clifford took numerous accounting courses beginning in 1958 from the University of Washington and Washington State University on their satellite campuses in Richland. He passed the Washington State Accountant Exam in 1970 and began working for the Department of Transportation in Wenatchee, WA. Clifford remained in this position until 1985, when he retired. Upon retirement, Clifford and Vivian traveled more than 60,000 miles in their beloved motorhome.

Clifford's beloved wife, Vivian Warren, preceded him in death in 2004. His two brothers, Gene Warren and Leo Warren, also preceded him in death. Clifford is survived by his four children: daughters, Teresa Warren, Karlene Hayward and Pamela Kelley, all of Wenatchee; and son, Clifford T. Hayward and wife, Lindsey of Blaine, WA, and Erik Warren and partner, Jacob Livingston of Renton, WA; granddaughter, Kristine Pieper of Snohomish, WA; along with five great-grandchildren.
