Joyce Marie Taylor Goodwin, 79, widow of John Earl Goodwin, Jr., died Sunday, April 12, 2015, at Prince George Healthcare Center.

Mrs. Goodwin was born August 15, 1935, in Southport, NC, a daughter of the late Raymond Thomas Taylor and the late Evelyn Viola Holden Taylor.

She was self-employed as a cosmetologist. Mrs. Goodwin and her husband were devoted church people, and she enjoyed playing piano at many local churches throughout the years. Her joys in life were being with her family and friends and playing the piano.

She was survived by three sons, Tommy Goodwin (Jeanie), Paul Goodwin (Kathy), and Robbie Goodwin, all of Georgetown; and three grandchildren, PJ, Caitlyn, and Caroline, all of Georgetown.

Graveside services were 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 16, 2015, in Elmwood Cemetery. The Rev. Teddy Rabon and Mr. Mike Goude officiated. Mayer Funeral Home was in charge.
