Mr. John Dykes worked twenty-six years for Cliff Heaton before retiring. He was a member of Clarksdale Church of God.
Mr. Dykes is survived by his wife, May Dykes of Clarksdale, MS; his daughters, Bonnie (Warren) Jones of Grenada, MS and Wanda (Robert) Shephard of Milan, TN; his son Randy (Stephanie) Dykes of Clarksdale, MS and his step-sons, Rudy (Kittie) Thomas, Jr. of Clarksdale, MS and Chester (Nicole) Thomas of Horn Lake, MS. Mr. Dykes is also survived by four sisters, Ann Hickey of Sumner, MS, Nellie Davis of LuRand, MS, Shirley Davis of Askew, MS, Sylvia Galloway of Longtown, MS, and two brothers, Jody Dykes of Clarksdale, MS and Jack Dykes of Louisville, KY. Fourteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren also survive Mr. Dykes.
Mr. Dykes was preceded in death by his son John Henry Dykes and his parents Johnny & Georgia Dykes.
