Fay Wade was born November 3, 1938 in Barlow, Kentucky to the late George Frank Moss and
Ora Tally Moss. She went to be with the Lord on April 12, 2015 in the company of family. She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Ora Moss, her brothers Joe and Jack Moss, and her sisters Georgieniel Ciepluch and Rosemary Strobbe.
Fay, Mom, Grandma, Granny, or Ma-Ma Wade were just a few names used by those closest to
her. Many of you knew her as the wife of Art Wade, or the loving mother of the seven stubborn Wade kids. If you didn't know her personally, not to worry, her genes are spread far.
Most of the time, Fay could be found in her garden, mowing on "01' betsy" in her big floppy hat or gazing at the birds whom she fed daily. She had many other hobbies including spa trips with her daughters, trips to Kentucky to visit her sisters, bingo, and baking. She was known for her chocolate gravy served primarily in the a.m. to hungry hunters. There was NEVER enough which made it a fight to the finish. She was always repaid generously by those same hunters with hugs, kisses, and live blue grass music.
The most important thing to Fay Wade was her family. There were numerous fish fries, birthday parties, and just about the biggest Christmas celebration you have ever seen. Each one filled with more love than the last. She was covered with love until her very last breath. We can rest assured that she will continue to watch over every single one of her loved ones for eternity. One day we will see her again, and that is something to rejoice in.
Fay is survived by her husband Art Wade of 55 years, 7 children, 3 daughters including Tina
Wade of the home, Belinda Ethridge and husband John and Summer Ritchie and husband Scott; Four sons including Frank Wade, Terry Wade and Fiance Miss Jayna, Jeff Wade and wife Kim, Luke Wade and wife Amanda; Two brothers, Bobby and wife Donna Moss and Dan and wife Lou Moss; two sisters Ruthie and husband David Meddings and Ann Tubbs; Eighteen grandchildren, Michael and wife Lisa, Daniel and wife Kati, Tasha and husband Lance, Kelsey and husband Alex, Shelby, Tyler, Megan, Kyle, Austin, Kent, Hayden, Lane, Chezney, Lake, Chris, Brandon, Chance, and Grant Casey; Thirteen great grand-children and one to arrive in November; also, many neices, nephews, family members and friends.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
