She was born October 6, 1903, the daughter of James Alonzo and Minnie Ellen (Goen) Pace.
She married Ollie Coulter in 1920, and he preceded her in death. She then married Joseph Edgar Lake in August, 1933, and he preceded her in death.
Surviving are one son, James Everett Coulter, of Bedford, IN; three daughters: Ruth Ellen (Coulter) Holloway of Springville, IN, Bette Ilene (Coulter) Lewis of Williams, IN, and Rebekah Rose (Lake) Hoskins of Indianapolis; one sister, Bertha Davis; sixteen grandchildren, thirty-four great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Rose Alpha Coulter and Edith Naomi (Lake) Manion; one son, Joseph Edgar Lake, Jr.; two sisters, 6 brothers, and one grandson.
She was a homemaker and during her last few years she was in Hospitality House.
Funeral services were held at the Day & Carter Mortuary with burial following in Beech Grove Cemetery.
