Billy D. Short, age 72 of Pineville KY, passed away Sunday April 12th 2015 at the Pineville Community Hospital. He was born in Bell County, Ky on November 1,1942, and was the son
of the late Howard Short and Betty Short Lasley. He also was preceded in by his brother, Robert Short and step-father Robert Lasley. He was a member of the local UMWA. He was a coalminer with Consol Coal Company. He also served in the United States Army.
He is survived by his brother, Howard (Coleen) Short of Sebring, Florida, Son, David (Christy) Short of Pineville, Ky. Daughters, Leah (Larry) Howard of Sebring, Florida and Joan (Ted) Tolliver of Davisburg, Ky. grandchildren Danielle ( Ike ) Poe, Chris ( Megan ) Tolliver, Jenn Tolliver, Autumn, Trevor and Madison Short. Great-Grandchildren Hunter Tolliver, Ben, Ella, and Sadie Poe.
Graveside service will be Wednesday April 15, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Green Hills Memorial Gardens with Rev. Ron Howard Officiating, No Visitation. Interment in Green Hills Memorial Gardens.
