Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Palmer Funeral Home in Fullerton, with the Rev. Martin Leeper officiating. Interment will be in the Fullerton Cemetery.

Mrs. Cox was born Aug. 14, 1927, to Jesse and Elizabeth (Weatherston) Craig. She grew up in Belgrade, where she attended school. Agnes began teaching at a country school right out of high school with a teaching certificate. During that time, she attended Kearney State College over the years at night and during the summers. On June 21, 1950, Agnes was united in marriage to Donald Cox and they made their home south of Fullerton. They moved to Omaha in 2009 and resided with their daughter and son-in law.

She loved teaching, music, playing the piano by ear, and cooking. She also enjoyed her grandchildren very much.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church, American Legion Auxiliary, and Fullerton Fraternal Order of the Eagles, where she served as State President in 1975 and 1976. She was also a member of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include her husband, Donald Cox of Omaha; daughter, Darla (Terry) Bengtson of Omaha; brother, Ronald “Bud” (Vera) Craig of Central City; three sisters-in-law, Carol Craig of Ravenna, Fern Hoffman of Kersey, Colo., and Evelyn Hart of Denver, Colo.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and multiple nieces and nephews.
